Stacey Harris, a GlaxoSmithKline PULSE Volunteer from Consumer Healthcare North America joins the Project HOPE UK team as relief efforts for Port Au Prince, Haiti gear up.
In January 2010, shortly after the tragic earthquake in Haiti, Stacey moved to London to begin her six-month assignment as a volunteer for Project Hope UK.
Immediately, upon arrival Stacey is making a difference. She is working with our partners to increase the awareness of Project HOPE’s activities in Haiti and how people can help support this effort. She is helping the team develop a dedicated website, HOPE ACTIVE, that will be an ongoing source of information on the efforts in Haiti, but it will also educate people on how they can get ACTIVE and help during this time of extreme need.
Stacey’s overall goal as a part of GSK’s PULSE Program is to help Project HOPE UK ditch its status as one of the charity world’s best kept secrets.
Stacey’s overall goal as a part of GSK’s PULSE Program is to help Project HOPE UK ditch its status as one of the charity world’s best kept secrets.
PULSE volunteers serve global non-profit organizations locally or abroad on a full-time basis for three to six months. The program is a win-win for both non-profits and GSK because it helps make a sustainable difference in each community served while supporting leadership development of GSK associates.
